The Dosimetry Laboratory of IBA Dosimetry offers calibration of dosimeters used in radiation therapy and diagnostic radiology according to the recent Dosimetry Codes of Practise in a wide range of radiation quantities and qualities. We are Dosimetry Laboratory accredited by DKD and a member of the IAEA/WHO SSDL Network.

We would be pleased to perform SSDL (DKD) calibration for you. Such an accredited calibration offers you the highest level of accuracy, acception by law and a formal, documented traceability to the primary Standards of the National Institute of Metrology in Germany, the PTB (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt).

Therefore, our Factory Calibration is on the leading edge of achievable accuracy as well as being traceable to the National Primary Standards.

The entire scope of the services offered by the Dosimetry Laboratory is accredited according to the ISO 17025:2005 standards.

Ionization chambers and electrometers are calibrated at IBA Dosimetry Calibration Laboratory by the substitution method using our reference standards calibrated at the PTB-Braunschweig (German Federal Institute of Physics and Metrology). The IBA Dosimetry Laboratory participates in inter-laboratory comparisons organized by recognized dosimetry laboratories to verify the declared level of performance in order to offer you the best calibration possible.

Calibrations for the following measuring quantities are available:

  • Absorbed dose to water Dw, 1 mGy – 20 Gy (X-rays, 20 up to 280 kV, and Cobalt 60)
  • Air Kerma Ka, 1 mGy – 20 Gy (X-rays, 20 up to 280 kV, and Cobalt 60)

Reference conditions:

  • Reference air pressure: 1013 hPa
  • Temperature: 20 °C

The stated uncertainties corresponds to the double standard deviation (k = 2).
