MatriXX Detectors

The I´mRT MatriXX is a 2D ionization chamber array for digital IMRT / IGRT verification of absorbed dose vs. plan.

For Rapid Arc^TM, VMAT and Hi-Art^® treatment verification the use of MatriXX Evolution with MultiCube and the Gantry Angle Sensor (GAS)* is recommended.

Both I´mRT MatriXX and MatriXX Evolution have
- 1020 chambers distributed in an active area of 24.4 x 24.4 cm2
- a minimum sampling time of only 20 ms per 2D field
- no dead time during the data acquisition due to unique electrometer solution

Due to the Pixel Ionization Chamber technology (PIC) the MatriXXes are the most advanced solution for fast, accurate and reliable digital treatment verification.

The MatriXXes can be used in combination with the OmniPro-I´mRT or COMPASS software.

The I´mRT MatriXX was designed and built in cooperation with Torino University and INFN, who brought in their experience in leading edge high energy physics.

*Note: The GAS measures the gantry angle for angular dependency optimization. The set-up on the gantry is very easy, the alignment indicated by the LEDs makes it very intuitve.
