QUASAR - Quality, Assured.
Phantoms are an essential part of IBA Dosimetry’s core RT QA offering and QUASAR represents a lineup of sophisticated phantom range for advanced radiation therapy applications such as - MR-Guided Radiation Therapy, Motion Management and SGRT, geometric distortion and machine targeting.
The QUASAR Story
In 2022, IBA acquired Modus Medical Devices (Modus QA), bringing the acclaimed QUASAR™ line into its portfolio. Now rebranded as IBA QUASAR™, these industry-leading QA solutions reflect IBA’s vision for a more connected, innovative future in dosimetry.
Everything we build revolves around our customers. We understand the challenges medical physicists face on a daily basis, and that’s why for two decades, we’ve pushed to develop comprehensive protocols and equipment that reduce QA testing time while ensuring absolute accuracy and confidence.
At our core, we create sophisticated QA solutions for advanced radiotherapy and medical imaging devices. Our phantoms and software are trusted for daily testing, commissioning of new equipment, new techniques, and supporting the dosimetric and non-dosimetric testing of upgrades, repairs and software fixes. With over 6,500 QUASAR™ phantoms being used in more than 4,000 leading treatment centres worldwide, we have earned the trust of not only the world’s foremost medical physicists, but of the patients they serve as well.
Our dependable lineup of products is only matched by the pace of our innovation. Through close collaboration with clinical physicists and researchers, we’re proud to have developed and brought to market QA innovations involving MRI-guided radiotherapy, daily on-boarding imaging, cone beam optical CT scanning for 3D dosimetry and nondosimetric QA. We were also the first to develop a programmable respiratory motion phantom and platform for the commercial market.
As an organization built on science, research, development and collaboration with medical physicists, every in-house physicist, engineer, designer and staff are fully committed to delivering the accuracy needed to provide the best patient care. We set the standard for calibration and quality assurance tools because we truly believe that better care starts with accuracy.
