Delivery and Plan Verification PT
Move from planning confidence to treatment confidence
MatriXX AiR represents the next step toward fully realizing treatment confidence in proton and carbon-ion therapy.
Engineered as a high-resolution, air-vented ionization chamber array, it is designed to deliver precise 2D dose-distribution measurements for increasingly complex particle-therapy plans. Its capability to characterize and verify critical treatment parameters positions it as a strategic tool for centers preparing for the next wave of clinical and regulatory expectations.
In particle therapy, patient-specific quality assurance is essential to confirm that delivered distributions align with the planned treatment. IBA’s detector arrays have already proven their value in proton-therapy PSQA for their spatial resolution and workflow efficiency, and MatriXX AiR is built to elevate these strengths.
With hardware and software components that support verification of ultra-high-dose-rate (UHDR) ion-beam delivery, it is your ally in meeting the rigor and sophistication required for emerging FLASH radiotherapy programs.
Now verify complex particle plans in minutes, freeing clinical bandwidth while meeting the precision, consistency and standards needed in next generation cancer care.
Features
Wireless, Clinical Efficiency Built In
MatriXX AiR is the first commercially available wireless ion chamber array, designed for seamless PSQA in proton and heavy ion therapy. With WiFi and battery operation, it brings flexibility to your clinical environment.
Lightweight (~7.3 kg) and cable-free setup cuts couch time; automated k (T,P) correction plus robust chamber stability translate to day-to-day reproducibility you can trust.
High-Density Detector Matrix
Equipped with 1521 air-vented ionization chambers across a 25 × 25 cm² field, delivering a 6.5 mm center-to-center resolution ideal for capturing fine dose gradients.
Ready for Cyclotron FLASH (UHDR) applications
Engineered with a 1 mm electrode gap to support ultra-high dose rate (UHDR) and FLASH protocols with minimal recombination loss.
MatriXX Air accurately measures UHDR dose delivery produced by a quasi-continuous particle beam, providing the reliable verification needed for clinics to confidently implement FLASH therapy.
